Trail ride in the Grasslands

BEAUTIFUL DAY in Texas so I made Allison go trail riding with me. Yes, she loves riding, but prefers riding in an arena rather than on the trails. Trail riding is BORING if you ask her.

Horses were great, saw a cow and calf, some hunters, tons of horses and a few people hiking. Some kids were hiking with a backpack and THAT freaked out sensitive Skippy! But for the most part he was great!

Friday photo shoot!

Took the new camera and Alyssa, Allison and Katie out to the Grasslands to play with it. My dumb butt had it on the wrong White Balance setting which screwed up a bunch of pictures, but live and learn!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice low key day. We went to see New Moon this morning, which was AWESOME BY THE WAY!! Then played with my camera the rest of the day...it doesn't get better than that!

Nov 25 Alyssa comes home!!

Another long day at work....then Alyssa was late getting here due to traffic. But John and I went to a burrito place and I had a YUMMY burrito!!

Boring Monday

Work was BORING. I guess it's because Jennifer went home early and I was stuck with Coley who doesn't want to be there. She's nice enough I guess, but I just have nothing to say to her....so it was BORING.

Took the dogs out this morning to play with the camera and give Jonas some exercise. He's going to school tomorrow so hopefully he burns some energy while he is there.

I am going to go to Target or Walmart at lunch and try to find a camera bag for the new camera. Oh and I found out that the extra lens will be here next week!! I wish it was going to be here this weekend, but oh well...I'll have it for the football game at least!

Played with the camera some more today. I was trying to take pictures of the horses but Ivan was so nosy that this is the picture I got!!

Ok...I had a nice post about my day....and then my computer freaked out and it took John forever to fix it last night. But thankfully I am married to an IT guy so he could fix it!!

Anyway...the gist of the post was about my nice day, playing with my camera and watching Ohio State beat Michigan in the Big House!!

Olive taking over Autumn's spot!

We had a little cat fight yesterday between Olive and Autumn, but it didn't last but a second and then they both ran their separate ways! Oh the joys of introducing cats!

Let me tell you I am so glad that Ivan is well again. For a month every waking moment was spent taking care of him, so much that I almost forgot how much time I actually have in the mornings to get stuff done!

Monday I went to the doctor for my shoulder pain, (bursitis) and yesterday group was canceled so I took the dogs out for a romp in the muddy pasture and did the same today.

Made some killer pork chops yesterday, all I did was season the frozen chops with onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper, threw them in the crockpot with some golden mushroom soup (John ate all the Cream of Mushroom with garlic soup...grr) and turned it on....THEY WERE YUMMY!! Tender and yummy and even picky Allison ate them!!

Tuesday....day of pics...

Wow...I took so many pictures today that I like that I just may go crazy and post a bunch of them!!

Started off with my breakfast of coffee and pancakes and for some reason I just love the picture of my Eeyore mug!! :) I really didn't want pancakes, but I was out of bagels, so I had to have something, and I wanted coffee...and captain crunch cereal didn't go wit coffee, so I had to make pancakes...

Then I took the dogs out in the FREEZING COLD and snapped a couple of the horses and dogs that I liked...so....hmmmm which one or ones to put????

I think I'll go with Eeyore on this and I'll put the other ones on my facebook if you want to check them out!!

Nice nap...

Apparently Ivan feels way better because he is back to his habit of full out napping!!!

Walmart candle

No way am I paying 20 bucks or more for a Yankee Candle when I can get one that smells just as good for $5!

Had a good day, went to church then took Allison out for wings. Caught some of the Bengals game while we were there. WHO DEY!! Then it was on to Target, and Walmart before heading home for a nice nap!!

Long day tomorrow and Tuesday...I have a doctor's appt at 8 tomorrow for my shoulder then Tuesday I have my Gateway group....Jonas is going to school on Tuesday and Friday.

Olive is getting comfortable!

Olive has been getting more comfortable coming out of Alyssa's room and this morning I found her checking out the litter boxes that belong to the other cats. The other cats are finally getting used to her and there is way less hissing than there used to be. Mostly they just stare at each other!

Nov 13-otherwise known as Friday the 13th!!

Not a bad day for me...shoulder hurt like mad so I FINALLY made an appointment to go see a doctor about it. Had a good morning then I went into work early so the new girl could finish reading the binder. Didn't matter though...because she put in her 2 weeks notice during lunch after only 5 days!! We have some bad babies at work, but omg they aren't that bad!! So maybe that means some more hours for me in the next few weeks. I think every now and then about taking the 8:15-5:15 shift...but then I would never get anything done and I wouldn't see John during the week since he's going to start a new job and won't be home in the evening.

Since it was Friday the 13th I wanted a picture of a black cat, but since I don't have one then this picture of Autumn will have to do!!

John worked the night before so he was trying to get some sleep....he had company!!

Happy Veterans Day!!

I got up early today and went out to ride Ivan since he's finally better! Apparently he was feeling good because he wanted to canter a bunch! Oh how I wish I had an arena....

Then I took the dogs out in the muddy muddy pasture...it hasn't rained in probably 2 weeks, but it's still flooded back there.....

Work was crazy as usual...and now I am exhausted and I think I'm going to bed...

I love him..

Got up this morning and went to Ihop with Alyssa, then headed to Mexia to see John's mom. Took a little walk and took some pics of his uncle's mailbox....

Nov 7th

oh my...I skipped a week....but I'm sorry....

I had to work all day and also Ivan legs had swelled back up again so I had to get up at the buttcrack of dawn and exercise him before work...it was nuts. Oh AND...his tear duct got clogged on Friday and his eye was swollen....thankfully I noticed it and put a hot towel on it and the swelling went down.

Drove down to Austin at 5 am Saturday morning to go see Alyssa and go to the UT game. We really had fun and it was nice to see her and meet some of her friends....

Apparently college is very tiring...

yeah yeah yeah...

I know I'm a few days behind....it's been a long week and I have to get up in a few hours to head down to Austin for a long day of fun with Alyssa...so hopefully I will catch this up either Sunday night or Monday....

Sunday

Non eventful Sunday. Went to the Commissary and BX this morning and I saw the camera that I want at the BX. Soon....I will have it...

Went shopping.....came home, and then gave Ivan a bath and got most of the crusties off of him.

Now I'm going to sit down with Allison and then watch Criminal Minds...
