New Year's Eve!

Nothing much exciting here. Worked for a few hours with very few babies...now I"m home watching the Disney Channel with Allison.

I am so boring...and I don't care!!

I'm a loser...

3 days with no pics....sorry...but life has not been that exciting. Work has been slow and boring...took Allison for a sports physical for tennis yesterday. That's about it!!

Today is the same...boring....

nap time...

Stayed home today and did much of nothing.....well...I cleaned the house and did laundry...so I did something!!

Dec 25 Merry Christmas!!

First white Christmas in North Texas in 83 years!!! The dogs loved the snow and had a blast running around like nuts.

The girls opened their presents, we ate a bunch of junk and then after a quick nap we went to the movies. Ended up seeing Sherlock Holmes which was AMAZING!!!

Dec 24-Christmas Eve

Had a nasty storm today...snow and freezing cold. I thought I was back in North Dakota!!! Poor Skippy was freezing, so thankfully I got him dried off enough to get his blanket on....poor guy was shivering.

John was stuck at work and didn't leave until 4:30 in the morning and it took him 2 hours to get home....

But the girls and I were warm in the house with our Christmas Eve fire...

So tired.....boring day at work since there was only a couple of babies. Tried to go shopping after work, but it wasn't happening. Went to Walmart to get some fuses for John for the Explorer then headed home.

Now it's time for bed..............

laundry Sunday.

Not a very exciting day, but it was nice. Went to Walmart, Tractor Supply and Lowes, and then just tried to catch up on the housework. Wrapped a bunch of presents too...

Long Saturday

Allison has been wanting to get back into lessons and Ivan is well again, so we started off the day with a lesson. Then off to get hay.....then we went on the long and boring drive to Mexia. Didn't get home from Mexia until 1 in the morning which sucked...but we had a nice time while we were there.

No pics on the 14th and 15...I was extremely lazy and it was wonderful!!


Took the dogs out to run on the 16th...it was pretty dang cold and all they wanted to do was eat horse poop so we didn't stay out too long!

Put the tree up

Finally got the Christmas tree up. Had a small breakdown when I saw the ornament with Cody's picture on it. But I think it's because I totally forgot about it and didn't expect it.

Long day....

John didn't get home until almost 4 this morning so we got a late start to Austin to pick up Alyssa. Stopped at the Ballpark in Arlington to look for Christmas presents for the girls, but the stuff was just WAY too expensive...I mean worse than Disney prices! I love going to the ballpark though...football stadiums are ok..but nothing like the baseball park to me!! I can't wait until baseball season starts up again!! Take me out to the ball game!!!

Stopped in West Texas for some kolaches and then we stopped at Target before we picked Alyssa up for the long and boring ride home....

The girls helped decorate our teeny tiny tree before Alyssa headed out the door with friends...the only way I know she is actually here is that she left me laundry!! Allison is making what I'm certain are incredible cookies that I am going to try very hard to resist, but not sure how well that will work....

productive morning

Dug out the Christmas box and put a few things up. I saw a few things...but honestly that's all we have!!!

way cold

It was freezing last night and this morning!! Woke up to a wind chill of 13 and also a sucky migraine. Blech on both of them!! Took the dogs outside to run in hopes that the cold weather would help my head (sometimes it does). Nope...the dogs had fun...but not only did my headache continue, I also felt like I was going to barf....

Ivan was munching on the hay and trying to stay out of the wind!!

Nope.....no pics for the past two days...been insanely busy at work....but I've got a picture for today....

Olive is happy that she is inside and not out in the 23 degree weather!!

Dec 6-Flooded dorm

Alyssa got a call during the game Saturday night that her dorm was flooding. Obviously we couldn't do anything about it then...so this is what she came back to on Sunday..

SNOW!!

Woke up this morning to snow!!! I would have bet the paycheck that it wouldn't snow, but we have about a half inch of the white stuff on the ground. Crazy!!

I may take Ivan's blanket off of him in a little while once I know the rain won't start up again, but after him being sick so long and losing weight because of it, I want him to be warm and dry! Thursday night is going to have wind chills around 16, so I think Skippy may get his blanket on then too...

Tired boy

Freaking insane day at work......and it looks like Jonas had a long day at school too...

New bed for Olive-Nov 30

No pic on Sunday, I had my camera and meant to take a picture of Alyssa at the bus stop, but it was pouring down rain so that didn't happen!

Had a fun day though, went to church, then to Wild Wings, Target then on to the bus station. Stopped at Petco on the way home and bought Olive a bed for 8 bucks...apparently she likes it!

Trail ride in the Grasslands

BEAUTIFUL DAY in Texas so I made Allison go trail riding with me. Yes, she loves riding, but prefers riding in an arena rather than on the trails. Trail riding is BORING if you ask her.

Horses were great, saw a cow and calf, some hunters, tons of horses and a few people hiking. Some kids were hiking with a backpack and THAT freaked out sensitive Skippy! But for the most part he was great!

Friday photo shoot!

Took the new camera and Alyssa, Allison and Katie out to the Grasslands to play with it. My dumb butt had it on the wrong White Balance setting which screwed up a bunch of pictures, but live and learn!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice low key day. We went to see New Moon this morning, which was AWESOME BY THE WAY!! Then played with my camera the rest of the day...it doesn't get better than that!

Another long day at work....then Alyssa was late getting here due to traffic. But John and I went to a burrito place and I had a YUMMY burrito!!

Boring Monday

Work was BORING. I guess it's because Jennifer went home early and I was stuck with Coley who doesn't want to be there. She's nice enough I guess, but I just have nothing to say to her....so it was BORING.

Took the dogs out this morning to play with the camera and give Jonas some exercise. He's going to school tomorrow so hopefully he burns some energy while he is there.

I am going to go to Target or Walmart at lunch and try to find a camera bag for the new camera. Oh and I found out that the extra lens will be here next week!! I wish it was going to be here this weekend, but oh well...I'll have it for the football game at least!

Ok...I had a nice post about my day....and then my computer freaked out and it took John forever to fix it last night. But thankfully I am married to an IT guy so he could fix it!!

Anyway...the gist of the post was about my nice day, playing with my camera and watching Ohio State beat Michigan in the Big House!!

Olive taking over Autumn's spot!

We had a little cat fight yesterday between Olive and Autumn, but it didn't last but a second and then they both ran their separate ways! Oh the joys of introducing cats!

Let me tell you I am so glad that Ivan is well again. For a month every waking moment was spent taking care of him, so much that I almost forgot how much time I actually have in the mornings to get stuff done!

Monday I went to the doctor for my shoulder pain, (bursitis) and yesterday group was canceled so I took the dogs out for a romp in the muddy pasture and did the same today.

Made some killer pork chops yesterday, all I did was season the frozen chops with onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper, threw them in the crockpot with some golden mushroom soup (John ate all the Cream of Mushroom with garlic soup...grr) and turned it on....THEY WERE YUMMY!! Tender and yummy and even picky Allison ate them!!

Tuesday....day of pics...

Wow...I took so many pictures today that I like that I just may go crazy and post a bunch of them!!

Started off with my breakfast of coffee and pancakes and for some reason I just love the picture of my Eeyore mug!! :) I really didn't want pancakes, but I was out of bagels, so I had to have something, and I wanted coffee...and captain crunch cereal didn't go wit coffee, so I had to make pancakes...

Then I took the dogs out in the FREEZING COLD and snapped a couple of the horses and dogs that I liked...so....hmmmm which one or ones to put????

I think I'll go with Eeyore on this and I'll put the other ones on my facebook if you want to check them out!!

Apparently Ivan feels way better because he is back to his habit of full out napping!!!

Walmart candle

No way am I paying 20 bucks or more for a Yankee Candle when I can get one that smells just as good for $5!

Had a good day, went to church then took Allison out for wings. Caught some of the Bengals game while we were there. WHO DEY!! Then it was on to Target, and Walmart before heading home for a nice nap!!

Long day tomorrow and Tuesday...I have a doctor's appt at 8 tomorrow for my shoulder then Tuesday I have my Gateway group....Jonas is going to school on Tuesday and Friday.

Olive is getting comfortable!

Olive has been getting more comfortable coming out of Alyssa's room and this morning I found her checking out the litter boxes that belong to the other cats. The other cats are finally getting used to her and there is way less hissing than there used to be. Mostly they just stare at each other!

Nov 13-otherwise known as Friday the 13th!!

Not a bad day for me...shoulder hurt like mad so I FINALLY made an appointment to go see a doctor about it. Had a good morning then I went into work early so the new girl could finish reading the binder. Didn't matter though...because she put in her 2 weeks notice during lunch after only 5 days!! We have some bad babies at work, but omg they aren't that bad!! So maybe that means some more hours for me in the next few weeks. I think every now and then about taking the 8:15-5:15 shift...but then I would never get anything done and I wouldn't see John during the week since he's going to start a new job and won't be home in the evening.

Since it was Friday the 13th I wanted a picture of a black cat, but since I don't have one then this picture of Autumn will have to do!!

John worked the night before so he was trying to get some sleep....he had company!!

Happy Veterans Day!!

I got up early today and went out to ride Ivan since he's finally better! Apparently he was feeling good because he wanted to canter a bunch! Oh how I wish I had an arena....

Then I took the dogs out in the muddy muddy pasture...it hasn't rained in probably 2 weeks, but it's still flooded back there.....

Work was crazy as usual...and now I am exhausted and I think I'm going to bed...

Got up this morning and went to Ihop with Alyssa, then headed to Mexia to see John's mom. Took a little walk and took some pics of his uncle's mailbox....

Nov 7th

oh my...I skipped a week....but I'm sorry....

I had to work all day and also Ivan legs had swelled back up again so I had to get up at the buttcrack of dawn and exercise him before work...it was nuts. Oh AND...his tear duct got clogged on Friday and his eye was swollen....thankfully I noticed it and put a hot towel on it and the swelling went down.

Drove down to Austin at 5 am Saturday morning to go see Alyssa and go to the UT game. We really had fun and it was nice to see her and meet some of her friends....

Apparently college is very tiring...

yeah yeah yeah...

I know I'm a few days behind....it's been a long week and I have to get up in a few hours to head down to Austin for a long day of fun with Alyssa...so hopefully I will catch this up either Sunday night or Monday....

Sunday

Non eventful Sunday. Went to the Commissary and BX this morning and I saw the camera that I want at the BX. Soon....I will have it...

Went shopping.....came home, and then gave Ivan a bath and got most of the crusties off of him.

Now I'm going to sit down with Allison and then watch Criminal Minds...

Saturday

Nice normal Saturday finally. Got up this morning then went to get a roundbale for the horses. Ivan lost some weight while he has been sick, so I figure it will be nice to have hay in front of him 24/7.

Then I headed into Ft Worth to go shopping with Allison and her friend Morgan. I hate shopping....I must have been born without the shopping gene or something. We were there an hour or so. We both found some things at Old Navy, she found some things at JC Penney and then we headed home.

I was really thirsty and wanted to find a QT, but we didn't pass any so I didn't get my diet vanilla coke....

So now it's a quiet night at home watching the Texas/Oklahoma State game.

Rain...seriously??

How will Ivan ever get rid of the rain rot if it never stops raining!! This is so frustrating.

I went out and gave him his medicine and then the sky opened up and it started pouring AGAIN! My pasture and yard are totally flooded....I don't think it will ever dry up...

Smelly stuff

Ivan is way better...we still have some crusties, but nothing like it was. His temp is normal, he's acting normal.....yea yea yea!!

So I'm going to throw in a two-fer for today since I'm feeling pretty good today!!

Yea for second opinions!

I'm so glad I had that second vet come out last Friday. Ivan is sooo much better...

Inside Olive

Oh yeah...Olive has decided that she is going to be an inside cat. I really didn't want another animal in the house, but she doesn't want to be outside and I feel bad when she is standing by the door meowing at me...so I'm letting her stay in...
